I don&#8217;t like to pigeonhole myself, but I think that &#8211; at least during Karneval &#8211; we don&#8217;t fall into the first category. As is witnessed by most of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.xs4all.nl\/~fokker27\/karneval\/\" title=\"Karneval 2007\">these pictures<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Just a taster:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ayor.nl\/view\/?attachment_id=93\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-93\" title=\"Outside Zipps watching the parade\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ayor.nl\/view\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/02\/outsidezipps.thumbnail.jpg\" alt=\"Outside Zipps watching the parade\" style=\"border: 0pt none ; margin: 4px\" align=\"left\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rosa-funken.de\/html\/kostumball.html\" title=\"Rosa Funken\">Kostumball<\/a> was fun, as usual. We didn&#8217;t win any prizes <strike>this time round<\/strike> again, but Frank and Mark did, dressed as a castle gate. The theme for the ball this year was &#8216;Geburtstagfest im M\u00e4rchenschloss&#8221; or  &#8220;Birthdayparty in the Fairytale castle&#8221;. We went as puss in boots. The boots being hip-waders, in our case. Maybe we were just a little bit more <em>Lederkerl<\/em> than <em>Fummeltriene<\/em> after all&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230;or, leathermen and dragqueens.
